A classic Piedmont obscurity

Andy, Justin, and myself, set out in search of an obscure, yet classic, Piedmont problem. Crystal Buddha is hidden amongst the rhodos at Pilot Mountain State Park. While challenging to find, it is well worth the effort. After surmounting the low roof, we were rewarded with great pinching and spans up a prow.

A few pics:

A Cold Winter's Day

Finally sometime to get out...its been just over a month:
-days climbing in Dec: 3
-Days outside in Dec: 1
-Days in 2011 outside: 2.5

So with the holidays behinds us and a little more time on our hands, we've had a chance to get out, well, atleast a few times.  Off to a good, albeit snowy start. First up in 2011, Titan's Traverse...a pumpy 30+ foot line of incut flakes. With a tricky opening section, the real crux is reaching the last section with warm enough fingers. Taking a hot minute to recall the beta and get used to the arctic conditions, the clash was over in just a few attempts.

Enjoy the pics...hopefully some more videos to come soon. It's a winter wonderland out there!

Headed in...

Not looking so great, but on we go...
walk in...
yup...
